KOA is the alias of Ophélie Simonet, a self-taught serial artist who shakes up brushes and minds from her HQ in Vendée.
Her world? A dopamine-fueled milkshake of pop culture, humor, 90s nostalgia, and graphic good vibes.
Alongside her corporate job, KOA decided in 2024 to take a dip in the deep end and turn pro. Painting is her shot of freedom and authenticity, her playground, her antidote to... which makes the days too long and life too short.
His work is a modern and delicious concentration of colors combined with powerful black and white contrasts.
His inspiration? A reminiscence of fluorescent jogging pants, pogs scattered on the carpet, and Club Dorothée cartoons.
His unashamedly naive style breaks academic codes and celebrates the childhood of art.
His paintings, designed as collector's items (like those of Pogs, figurines, Kinder toys, etc.), awaken the souls of disenchanted generations and inject a dose of fun into any wall.
