Gyuri Heart

Gyuri Heart, real name Laura Froger, is a visual artist who grew up in the Paris region. At the age of 4, she began to take an interest in drawing and took her first lessons at the age of 9.

It was in her hometown, ORGEVAL, that she began to compete in drawing competitions. She discovered dry and oil pastels during her drawing classes and little by little, she moved towards alcohol markers and gouache to end up developing a taste for acrylic painting, which she will practice from the first year of study in art school.

It is through her student years at LISAA that Gyuri Heart explores more life drawing. Thus, she learns to give more relief to her works whether in drawing or painting.

Attracted by video production, she decided in 2013 to continue her studies in the audiovisual field.

Thanks to this course, she grasps a new creative form and develops a taste for photography and video editing.

In 2017, she obtained her diploma as a visual director, after obtaining her baccalaureate in graphic communication with a crafts and arts and crafts option, through a year of upgrading in applied arts at LISAA. So much learning and knowledge, which she uses today in her works.

It was in 2020 that she officially launched herself as an artist author by exhibiting, first at events organized by political science students from St Germain en Laye and then, naturally, by heading to international galleries. She then exhibited her works digitally in Palermo, New York, Milan, Paris, Athens, Switzerland and Palma.

Artistic approach

Due to her atypical career and her multiple passions, the visual artist is prolific. She wishes and seeks, through her art, to reach the soul of each person. She is inspired by each encounter, by music, by images, by all the events that life allows her to experience. There is something spiritual in her work.

She is inspired by religious paintings from the Middle Ages, the Italian Renaissance and the classicism of Nicolas POUSSIN. The golden touches that she places on her works are reflections of these influences and thus add a note of both sacred and precious.

If her first works are dark and full of anger, she evolves and moves towards more spirituality, more light.

The women who populate her works speak of themselves. Through her different paintings or drawings, the artist wants to question us about our beliefs. Even more, she wants us to question the place of the female body in our society.

À brushstrokes, she wants us to observe our thoughts, to question our beliefs and their values.

Since, even today, the female body is controversial, seen as a threat or judged from all sides, her nudes reveal us to ourselves. Her art opens us to reflection: what are we ready to accept... from ourselves! Nudity as a path to our soul.

This is the very evolution of her work: from dark hours to the clarity of spirituality. If this represents the artist's inner evolution, his will was also that his works bear witness to his deep desire for a change of thought in our society.

The artist has no events planned at the moment. I add an event
The artist has not yet entered his path.
