A self-taught artist, I draw my inspiration from a rich and unique life journey. After a past marked by sport, my return to painting became obvious, a way to express my emotions and sublimate my vision of the world. Based in Montrabé, I create a vibrant universe where colors explode through various techniques: pouring, aerosol, projected acrylic or brush. Decorated sculptures, flower pots and abstract canvases make up my universe, where Each work celebrates energy and spontaneity.
My approach begins where the production line ends. I don't create the sculpture itself; I start with an existing object, an anonymous product found in a store, fashioned to be neutral. It's precisely this neutrality that attracts me: it represents a blank canvas, a starting point for a radical transformation.
Some people work with Playmobil and other pop sculptures, but for me, animals inspire me the most. When I select a sculpture, I don't just consider what it is, but what it can become. A simple decorative gorilla can be transformed into a mystical guardian, like a dreamlike creature. From the same chess knight, you will see at the end of the article that I was able to create several works, each with its own identity. This reinterpretation is primarily achieved through color. I choose vibrant and unexpected palettes. Why couldn't a horse be electric blue? Sometimes I also play with reinterpretation, transforming it for example into a zebra for a savannah spirit.
