Discover the contemporary work of Laurence de Chabot
From the age of 9, I love to draw, very early I followed a watercolorist training at the workshop of Albert Gérard. Later I adapted the watercolor technique on other supports like wood, then fabric, glass, porcelain, terracotta, ostrich eggs, goose eggs, chicken eggs and finally walls. More recently, I completed my training through a certification in art therapy allowing me to offer plastic art classes with classical music for children.
Having become a figurative animal painter, I like to stage animals in particular!
I participate in many public and private exhibitions in Paris, Brussels and in the provinces.
I create many portraits of pets:
cat, dog, rabbit, bird....
Particularly sensitive to nature, its colors and its strength, I like to stage animals in general and birds in particular. Their shimmering and bright colors, their often acrobatic positions, inspire stories in me. Projects and special orders are for me challenges to take up and rewarded by the pleasure they provide upon delivery.
