Discover the contemporary work of Libling
Born in Zumarraga (Gipuzkoa, Basque Country) in 1988, she studied Fine Arts at the UPV in Bilbao and completed her studies with a SICUE scholarship at the UMH in Altea, Alicante. With colour as her banner at that university with a youthful air, she began to investigate the technique that she always used to create her backgrounds. A technique that mixes graffiti sprays and water, for which she obtained the intellectual property rights in 2014 and which she called Libling. Since then, her research has not stopped. Her most notable works are: “Libling”, a traveling and sensorial installation. “Egurra transizioan/ Wood in Transition” , a work created together with her partner and friend Pablo Asarían, in which two such different artists managed to achieve balance, with wood as a support and a guiding thread, a traveling work that will soon visit Cuenca. Finally, created in her current residence, Vitoria-Gasteiz, “Yo Libling, Libling yo”, the most personal work to date, in which the artist shows that she is back stronger than ever...
Colour as a personal touch, even to protest injustices. The Libling technique (water spray) has always been present since 2014, when the intellectual property rights were obtained.
