As a child in Africa, my life was built around color.
As a ceramicist for over 20 years, creating for Villeroy and Boch, the Barriere Group, Leroy Merlin and Porcelanosa, then a color merchant at Ressource Peintures, I became a specialist in wall coloring. Then, working on my own, as a decorator and still a colorist, my palette was enriched with new shades: the pleasure of giving advice and relationships with others.
Drawing has never left me but collages and painting now occupy an important place in my creations. Photography has also allowed me to observe and reconnect with nature.
The strength and authenticity of northern Finistère, where I stay part of the year, provide me with a particular inspiration. The sea, the wind, and the lights allow for a receptiveness and a dream space for creativity.
Self-taught, I have no preconceptions. I have tried different techniques. I like collages which allowed me to get back to painting. They also gave me limitless creativity
I like pastel which I practiced a lot during the Covid lockdowns (hence 2 books)
I like oil which is a noble material, soft, which requires patience to dry, which has its transparencies and its thicknesses.
