My journey could not be more atypical. After a year in art school in Paris, Annecy then a Master 2 in Art History, I worked in Paris. in commerce before becoming a business manager and creating my own wedding dress store based on a new concept. Today retrained as Communications Manager. for a study office, I paint and exhibit regularly.
I have always painted, but my research became more serious later on. from 2001. My research around the face and emotions came to fruition around 2004.
Art, in all its forms, has always been part of my life. Painting in particular has accompanied me through the twists and turns of my journey. Very early on, I became interested in portraits and masks. The faces are fascinating. I love people, exploring their emotions, their soul movements, capturing their expressions. I like the looks and their depth. My admiration for artists in general and singers in particular, showered on stage with harsh and colorful lights, pushes me to do so. attempt to pierce their additional soul. My models have in common the fact of having “a face” which carries a story, a temperament. Secondly, strongly impacted by my visit to the Rodin museum, I became interested in the emotions translated by body movements. More recently, it was traveling that gave me my inspiration. want to work on landscapes and animals.
The other part of my research concerns contrasts. Unable to imagine a bland and passionless existence, this inevitably comes out in my painting. through the use of strong colors and sometimes violent contrasts. Shadow and light sculpt my subjects, with the energy of a gesture which must remain present...I am not fixed on a technique, even if acrylic lends itself better at I want to create spontaneity, and I regularly experiment with things, despite the difficulty. my natural inclination towards knife painting.
Emotion is the only message I seek to convey. deliver.
