Lysandre is a self-taught artist. Trained in graphic design professions, she began her career in graphic design. painting with oil in 2011 while she lives in New York. From his first painting “Russians in depression”, inspired by by an eponymous article in the New York Times, it adopts this blue-green hue which allows it to easily sculpt light and reveal mysterious characters with almost placid expressions.
We find in his work the influence of flat surfaces with precise cutting specific to graphics juxtaposed the delicacy and poetry of a trait that Leonid Gervitz would describe as mannerist. Strongly influenced by the expressionists, she offers a new vision through a mixture of realism and abstraction. The look is thus soothed. through a simplified visual reading guided by details: sometimes their presence, sometimes their absence.
Only one rule of reading: All organic living matter is detailed, what is not is only a colorful decoration.
