Discover the contemporary work of mad
Since my childhood, I have always been attracted by the "beautiful", Matisse having been the "trigger" of my career in drawing classes at the age of 17.
I kept some his conception of an "art of balance, purity, tranquility.... analogous to a good armchair... " Art, for me, does not in fact have the vocation to "disturb"...
I therefore turned to higher studies in Letters and of History of Art and taught This latter subject throughout my career.
I have always painted, made numerous reproductions of contemporary paintings, full of teaching and launched myself, for a dozen years, into personal creation.
Always driven by the bright colors of Fauvism, they play a preponderant role in my painting.
My imagination, always awake, led me towards the symbolism that I associate with nature. a choice of abstract (and passionate) expression for my freedom. and that of the... spectator!
I exhibited sometimes, but not very recently, unfortunately dependent on the restrictions caused by covid...

My first gestures on the canvas are often random, driven by a vital enthusiasm that I express through large, woven surfaces. acrylic painting with a knife and brush, on large formats.
Only my states of mind and the play of "colors assembled in a certain order" count. (Maurice Denis).
I let myself be carried away by my emotions, my feelings, which I express through liveliness. chromatic, sometimes bordering on a spiritual impulse, in search of cosmic values carrying hope, joy of living: witnesses, the titles of my paintings.
Nature, trees and "their confused words" (Baudelaire, Correspondances), the branches, the leaves, the water, the sun, inspire me during my walks: I observe them, I feel them deeply, but in front of my canvas, I do not don't copy, I dream them, the border of the concert and the abstract, at the same time both simple and magical, in the hope of sharing them with the viewer.
Follow the lines of composition: branches, leaves, faults, cracks, reflections, where; alternate realistic allusions, stylization, dreamlike digressions... using more or less thick, more or less fluid keys...
Finally respond to multiple graphic details executed using mixed techniques: pastel, charcoal, chalk, marker, gold leaf, etc. the lookout for my "little vibrations" !...
