Discover the contemporary work of Malisu
My name is Séverine and from a very young age, I demonstrated my will and my taste for drawing, painting by making sketches, acrylic paintings.
Alongside these passions, I studied music, then taught the clarinet in a music school.
I then undertook many trips abroad, to Togo, a year in Thailand and a year in Vietnam as a volunteer and International Solidarity Volunteer, a human experience rich in encounters, discoveries, questions, learning and inspiring .
My six years as a teacher, my stays abroad gave me great satisfaction, but this desire to paint, to create was still present in my mind.
When I returned from Vietnam, the artist in me dreamed of painting. Self-taught, my travels are my primary source of inspiration.
Taken by emotion in front of the beauty of a landscape, of a monument, I collect all the elements which make of a scene, of a place an escape for the spirit. I want to convey this atmosphere to the viewer.
I experiment with a lot of techniques, materials, subjects, I use acrylic, acrylic ink, watercolor, epoxy resin. I decline painting on various supports, I like diversity, the way I work is spontaneous. Starting from an object for which I have an attraction and an idea germinates and materializes to give free rein to my creativity.
I am constantly looking for colors that highlight my creations. The evolution is limitless and I take each canvas, each creation as an adventure that will take me further.
