A self-taught painter, now in his eighties, artistic work replenishes my daily life, while my inspiration revolves around the Human, the freely deciphered natural living! This is why, wishing to restore the charismatic spontaneity, the expression, the vitality or the bitterness of a look, the attitude or the fleeting movement, my subjects live and intertwine with the colorful links of a turbulent palette, so true is it that through a visual identity freeing itself from trends, "the Human" takes on its full evocative importance in my artistic approach!
Having lived a professional career loaded with challenges, and while the winter frosts gently tickle my life expectancy, I remain a fervent admirer of beauty and generous Art! My quest on ARTactif is above all to make people appreciate a style that contemporary sensibilities place as "obsolete"... Mission seems accomplished, since many are the visits lingering every day on one or the other of my almost two hundred exhibited works!!! Thank you all!
A fan of brushed "oil", more than 500 figurative canvases and frescoes nuanced with rough impressionism, constitute a catalog that remains faithful to the intimate, to the visual reality, the depth and dynamics of the subject! As an amateur, I have participated in exhibitions of which I have not kept a record, so much so that only the pleasure "of being" and sharing motivated my presence... Some paintings were noticed, some sold, and finally more were offered to loved ones... This is how, except in cases of personal attachment to a painting, I propose commercial values that remain in minimalist coherence with the "ARTactif" expertise, because it is important to adjust the price to the intrinsic subtleties of the work. Residents of a comfortable "haut savoyarde" house, the delicate porcelain painter that is my wife, and I, continue our common existence within our creations! Because in addition to the precious porcelain, seventy paintings and frescoes animate this place of life!
