"Self-taught painter in his eighties", artistic work replenishes my daily life, while I essentially articulate my inspiration around the Human, the freely deciphered natural living! This is why, wishing to restore the charismatic spontaneity, the expression, the vitality or the bitterness of a look, the attitude or the fleeting movement, my subjects live and intertwine with the colorful links of a turbulent palette, so true is it that through a visual identity freeing itself from trends, "the Human" constitutes one of the veins of my creative approach!
Having lived a professional career loaded with challenges taken up, and while the winter frosts of my life gently titillate me, I remain a fervent admirer of the beauty combined with generous Art! My quest on ARTactif will remain to make people appreciate a style that contemporary sensibilities consider "outdated"... Mission seems accomplished, since more than 60,000 of you have lingered over one or the other of my paintings... Thank you all!
A fan of brushed "oil", 500 figurative canvases and frescoes nuanced with rough impressionism, constitute a catalog that remains faithful to the intimate, to the visual reality, the depth and dynamics of the subject! I remain an inveterate "classical painter of the old one" which, fixing the image on the canvas (nature doing things so well) transposes it without the need for recomposition ... Thus a human body or a face remain representative of what they are. I have participated in exhibitions of which I have not kept a record, as only the pleasure of "being there" and sharing motivated my presence... Some paintings were noticed, awarded prizes and/or published in the regional press... Some sold, finally more numerous those offered to loved ones and friends.
I propose commercial values subject to the opinions of ARTactif Experts, as it is important to respect the work, not to trivialize it, nor to exaggerate the material counterpart. Finally I convince myself that at the magic insert where the work challenges the amateur, the latter will free himself from budgetary constraints, as appropriating Art is similar to the symbolism of the love journey!!
"Haut Savoyard" residents, the delicate porcelain painter that is my wife, and I, "survive" within our creations! Because in addition to the precious porcelain, seventy of my paintings and frescoes enliven our living space! This is how, at nightfall, while walking along the walls winding towards the resting place, I greet my portraits and characters on display, the moment devoid of subterfuge occurs when the eyes meet, in an emotional flash!
I imagine then that each of these exchanges reinforces the idea of survival through the work constituted... and induced memories!
Silent connivances soothing in the shadow, the sporadic unfolding of a rest... prostate!!
