More than 30 years...In a few lines!
1992.
After five arduous years in art school, drawing, architecture, models, here I am. thrown jumble in
the world of Cinema and Show. From white cabbages to brick walls, from closed doors to bottomless pits, I nevertheless meet very attentive people and here I am. gone!
SFX on set, decoration, for 10 years I lived on cinema sets, "Elisa" or "the Children of the Marais" by Jean Becker, "The Creator" by Albert Dupontel, "The Prince of the Pacific" by Alain Corneau or "One chance in two" by Patrice Leconte, these are just some of the directors with whom I have had the pleasure of working, learning and understanding the hard work of being a decorator and designer. ;special effects.
At the same time, always passionate, I created and built dozens of sets, accessories and characters for the Theater, a poor relation but no less creative. Companies and directors give me their confidence to give shape to their fantasies and their dreams, carried out in the light of day. by an imagination... exacerbated by !
"Merlin the Magician", "Oliver Twist", "The Rhinoceros", "Roméo & Juliet", "Sherlock Holmes", "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "Gargantua" or 'Alice', some of the great universes I've helped create. à making it real for more than 30 years in the service of an eternal cause, the dream.
For several years, putting aside this universe I decided to explore to stop creating for others and to immerse myself neck-deep in my graphic and literary universe. Hundreds of drawings and illustrations have seen the light of day as well as plays, stories and even a graphic novel in progress.
Whatever the path, I always combine a story and images, undoubtedly reminiscent of long years alongside cinema and theater.
Draw, write.
For me one does not go without the other, they are complementary. Sometimes an image is born, alone and comes to life on the blank page, sometimes there are stories that flow like a river on the sheet, but whatever the primary support, they are often linked to give birth to something new. a complete work.
Black and white is my medium, most often pencils and charcoal, sometimes wash and pen, always, at least I hope, in emotion and creativity
