Discover the contemporary work of María Burgaz
María Burgaz knew from a very young age that art was her thing. Home He made his way to the School of Decorative Arts in Madrid, and graduated in Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid in the specialty of Painting.
Since then He has shown his work in individual and group exhibitions both in Spain and abroad and his work is found in many public and private collections. His hard-working and enthusiastic nature has led him to participate in all types of projects and collaborate with designers, writers and everything that allows him to express everything he has inside.
His work always reveals the stage he lives in, his vitality and his particular sense of humor and way of understanding life; an experience that must be enjoyed with time and that never leaves you indifferent.
Actually I am not one to explain my paintings, I like each person to establish an interlocution, a dialogue with the painting and draw their own conclusions, if there should be any.
A work of art must speak for itself alone, and be enriched by the reading and interpretation that each viewer makes of it. I think so It also stays alive and beats according to the place, the moment and of course according to the people.
My work is a reflection of me, it couldn't be any other way. A reflection of what I have been, what I am and what I want to be. And I am a product of the time in which I live and of everything that surrounds me, but also of my parents' time and the previous time, of what is learned in books, in museums...
I always look attentively at everything that happens around me. Capturing details on my retina and camera so I don't forget anything. From this daily life so loaded with images and messages I nourish and inspire myself to then capture on the canvas what provokes me and what I carry inside.
Continuously changing source and inexhaustible inspiration, I am fortunate to be who I am and to be where I am, wherever I am… He who knows my paintings, knows me.
