Self-taught figurative painter, born in August 21st, 1947 in Croisic. 1972 : First exhibition in La Baule. 1977 : Gather together different painters, sculptors, poets, musicians and creates a group which exhibits in different cities of Brittany until 1986. 1986 : She goes to live in Guadeloupe. 1993 : Opens to the public, along with the painter Maelle Di Meglio their own exhibition room "La case des peintres." (Saint Francçois, Guadeloupe). 1994 : She organizes with Maelle Di Meglio an exhibition on the theme "Caribbean-Britain". Exhibition at the gallery Emile Vincent (Paris). 1995 : She exhibits paintings and participates in a television program in favor of the fight against pollution along with the poet Joby Barnabé and the Cousteau crew. 1997 : Permanent Exhibition at the gallery Emile Vincent in Paris. Membership in the IAA (International Association of Art), affiliated to UNESCO. She earns an Award for her painting "Le ramassage de la cane" Bronze Medal in the fourteenth annual competition in visiuels arts in Montreal (Canada). 1998 Exhibits paintings with the members of the IAA in Gosier (Guadeloupe) to commemorate the the abolition of slavery.I think that my art conveys a kind of "ethical well being".It is not something "written or spoken" but rather an attitude, a way of being, of acting, of thinking, of breathing.It cannot be defined in terms of technical or mathematical advances in art. I believe too much science can kill instinct.My work is sincere, spontaneous, instinctive, and above all "Human".Marichalton
