Discover the contemporary work of Marie-Laure ROMANET PRIN
International artist (Drouot side) evolving in the abstract expressionism movement, I live in Aubusson, France, in the heart of the city of tapestry. After exploring various fields such as tourism and real estate, I devoted myself entirely to Art, a sensory quest that deeply corresponds to my essence. Each creation is for me a unique experience, guided by an invisible energy.
I work with various techniques: collages from my own paintings, the integration of threads and wool in homage to Aubusson tapestry, and the use of spray paint and projection methods. The larger the canvas, the more I immerse myself in it, literally dancing around it in a shamanic ritual, often carried by the music that resonates deep within me.
My work has been woven in prestigious workshops such as Pinton and Les Fées des fils, and I have had the chance to exhibit my works in France, Italy, the United States, South Korea, Poland, Peru. In 2021, I initiated the international project "The Art of the New World", bringing together 111 artists and 44 poets from around the world for two collective works based on respect, love, uniqueness, the cultural richness of each.

My approach is an inner exploration, a sensory journey guided by an invisible energy. When I create, each canvas becomes an immersive experience, where I literally dance around the surface, soaking up the movements and music that accompany my gestures. The larger the canvas, the more I let myself be carried away by this flow of energy, as in a shamanic ritual.
I draw inspiration from my intuition to mix different techniques. I integrate collages from my own creations, I use threads and wool as a nod to Aubusson tapestry, and I experiment with spray paint and projections to bring texture and movement to my works. My process is constantly evolving, I am constantly searching, discovering and experimenting to best express what I feel.
The collaborative aspect is also essential for me. With the project "The Art of the New World", I wanted to symbolize rebirth and regeneration through deconstruction and reconstruction. This collective work, created in collaboration with artists and poets from all over the world, embodies for me the idea of unity and exchange, a poetic and universal vision of a new world, based on love, respect and cultural diversity.
