Creation has always been part of Mary’s universe. Coming from a large Périgord family, Marie grew up in the world. in sharing know-how – metal work, mechanics, misappropriation of recovered objects and materials – and in the pleasure of reinventing, recomposing, bringing new life...

His passion for working the land began when he was born. Bristol in 2002, where she trained for seven years on the tour and agrave; raku firing with potter Bill Moore. Since 2009 In Paris, she refined her modeling technique with the ceramists Géraldine Pollet then Nadège Delaruelle.

The earth... An inexhaustible means of expression for Marie. For ten years, she has refined her research around silhouettes. Full-length, mystical, sober and enigmatic characters, inspired by statuettes of worshipers and worshipers from antiquity. and Buddhist Jizôs. His characters exist, between abstraction and figurative, between form and expressiveness of materials, between  hardiness wood and dented cubes and the shine of slips, between patinas and colors...

Its recovered materials are not simply used, they are reconstructed to tell sculpted stories that dialogue with our souls.

Her sculptures are essentially made of fine black earth or chamotte, blocks of earth that she shapes by tapping them. She works with slips, an earth diluted with dyes or oxides, which allows for precise and luminous applications. The vibrant color of the piece and the patina is what she is looking for. To give a satin effect, the sculptures are waxed and polished. the brush.
