Discover the contemporary work of Matthias Hübner

I was born in 1976. As a typical GDR child, I was already spotted in kindergarten for competitive sports, which then determined my life. I had great talent as a child, which was discovered by the Freyburg painter Walter Weisse, for example. However, the development of young artists was not as prioritized as the development of young athletes. In 1990, I was appointed to Burg Giebichenstein and was supposed to do my Abitur there, but my mother refused and forbade it.

 Since 1996, I have been working as a musician and producer of various projects, but had to limit this in 2020 due to illness and turned back to painting.
