« Madame De Dodin » was born from a
deep desire for aesthetics, meetings and sharing.
Claire Dodin comes from an artistic family background, with painter/engraver parents and a grandfather who was the director of a textile factory in Paris. Roubaix.
His attraction to art, contemporary creations, materials and color led him to study fashion design and then to Fine Arts.
After ten years in the creation of clothes, the desire to exercise one's creativity continues. feels differently. In 2018, she trained at interior decoration.
Like a logical evolution, the perpetual quest for aesthetics, the need to create atmospheres, to sublimate through color and design, led him to his work. towards the painted window sticker hand and wall art.
In parallel with its activity, emerges in 2023 “LES MOTS BLEUS”, a series of drawings on old tapestries. These unique pieces, sometimes presented in the form of hangings for larger formats, evoke a subtle dialogue between the past and the past. and the present. The floral repetition, a timeless symbol of femininity. and vitality, creates visual harmony in reference to textile patterns. Like frescoes of the soul, these paintings invite you to explore meditation and reconnecting with yourself.
ARTISTIC APPROACH:
Flowers and the plant world are the main subjects. My approach is intended to be ecological and aesthetic through the choice of the support; reuse old tapestries and transform them into an object of art, contemporary decoration.
Symbol of femininity par excellence, the flower is very present in each of my creations, the plant leads to raise awareness about the current ecological issue.
