Discover the contemporary work of Mela Snow

I started painting in 2022, first out of curiosity, then very quickly out of passion. My first brushstrokes brought Disney characters to life, a universe I appreciate for its simplicity and visual power. This 2D work allowed me to familiarize myself with the basics of drawing and color.

Very quickly, I wanted to explore a more realistic style. By focusing on Reproducing shadows, light, and volume, I discovered what truly fascinates me: capturing details with such precision that they resemble a photograph. Since then, I have dedicated myself to perfecting this approach to realism, canvas after canvas.

I work primarily in oil painting, traditional drawing, and digital drawing. Each medium offers me a different way to express my sensitivity and explore realism in various forms.

From January to In February 2024, I had the opportunity to exhibit my works in a restaurant, my first experience of public exhibitions that allowed me to share my world with a wider audience.

I regularly share my creations on social media, with the aim of introducing my work to as many people as possible. I also opened an online store where I offer my works for sale. This is what I am most frequently asked for: Today, it's personalized commissions: people send me their photos, which I reproduce in paintings or drawings, with the greatest care.

Each creation is for me a new story to tell, a link to weave between emotion, image... and reality.

My art consists of getting as close as possible to reality by capturing every detail with meticulousness. Through rigorous work on light, shadows, and textures, I seek to bring my subjects to life, until they seem almost tangible. It is my way of transforming an image, a memory, or a material object into a living work, capable of transmitting an authentic emotion.
