MEZ - de MEZERAC

Acquisition of works at the studio or on the SINGULART.com online sales site

Born in 1952, Arnaud de MÉZERAC, from a long line of artists, was introduced to artistic techniques by his grandmother, a painter herself. He then combined his university studies with his pictorial research before definitively turning to his art. Thus, he has painted continuously since a young age, and his guiding thread is the incessant quest for a sublime and meaningful Beauty. Compositions, female figures and portraits, landscapes, animals, he likes to treat the themes of a magnified Eden and an ideal of serenity. Far from fashions, he practices a demanding and difficult art, the fruit of a long profession. Whether his inspiration leads him to oil, pastel, or watercolor, his painting is very diverse and always imbued with refinement and poetry. His personal aesthetic aspirations, his reflection on art history, and his admiration for 19th-century painters (Romantics, English landscape painters, Pre-Raphaelites) and Art Nouveau, guide him toward the worlds of controlled emotion.

Arnaud de MÉZERAC is a professional painter, a member of the French Artists Association, and a member of the Taylor Foundation, an affiliate of the professional organization Maison des Artistes. His work, often signed MEZ, is permanently exhibited in various galleries and in his Studio-Gallery in CABOURG.
