Guy Romedenne, a self-taught artistBorn in 1956 in Oujda (Morrocco), he comes to France in 1971 and goes on with his studies in the catering school of Nice (French Riviera). During this period, he discovers the oil paintings landscapes made by his maternal grandmother.In 1978, after obtaining his catering diplomas, he returs to the business world and travels through different regions of France without forgetting the Sologne where he lives at the present time.In 1987, he launches out into painting and creates oil paintings, with palette knife, on canvas, on glass or on stone.But, it's only in 2003 that he decides to show his paintings in a bank which accepts to welcome him. From his childhood in Morrocco, he was homesick of the contrasting and typical landscapes, the smell of spices and the conviviality of the people. So, he will paint many canvas about Morrocco.Grateful to the beauty of the landscapes he met during his vocational career, he attemps to immortalize them through his canvas. Guy Romedenne, an art of modelling artist.However, his curiosity has no limit ; so, he loves giving a second life to objects and salvage materials transforming them for his liking. Everything is useful ; the metal, the stone, the plastic, the wood, and the ideas don't miss to give a second (artistic) life to these materials become obsolete. Artistic process in painting :In my childhood, the drawing lessons taught at school didn't get me any satisfaction because, in spite of all my efforts, I couldn't get to reproduce what I saw. However, I was marveled at what we could realize with a sheet of paper and a pencil.Afterwards, and more later, I found myself contemplating my maternal grand-mother's oil paintings : She had got the art of doing to create landscapes of Morrocco with two shades with gradations ; For example, landscapes painted with blue or brown shades.To all visitors, Have a nice and sunny visit on my website !Website visible at the present time : www.couleursnature.net
