Monique Gastaud was born in 1952 in Tunis and moved to Nice in 1964 where she still lives.Passionately fond of painting and animals, most of her paintings represent animals and with her very personnal technic, she obtained numerous awards for her works -more than 60 - such as:2012 She has been in charge of decorating the aquarium of the beautiful PARC PHOENIX in NICE : more than thirty paintings are present.1st award in Hotel Négresco Nice 2005.1st award at The International Art Exhibition of Nice (2003) 1st award in Toulon 20011st award at the National Cats exhibition in Paris, (2000)1999 3rd award at th National Museum of Kyoto in Japan,Selected for an exhibition in the National Art Museum of Beijing in China,1st award in Antibes 1999 - She has realised several posters for differents towns.Although she likes painting different subjects, Monique brings us into her magnificient and magical world, where the expression of her animals is unique and where she puts all her emotion.
