Discover the contemporary work of Mylène Garayt

Originally from Arles, I have since I was little paid particular attention to artistic, manual and creative activities. These allowed me to express myself through creation (drawing, jewelry, painting, etc.). Independently from this artistic side, I headed towards a completely different course. After studying Law between Arles, Aix-en-Provence and Montpellier, I began working in the field of taxation as an Advisor in wealth management and strategy. But in 2022, I felt the need to get closer to painting, to find myself alone in front of a blank canvas. This practice offers multiple possibilities, since when I place the colors and give a movement, it is impossible for me to determine in advance what the result will be. Painting has this ability to depict all our reflections and this without our consent. I like the idea that there are bridges that allow us to move from one activity to another, since everything I have learned in one area allows me to venture into another.

What interests me in painting beyond from what I personally get out of it, it encourages the person's imagination through a play of color, light, shape, small details... Behind each work, there is not necessarily an explanation, a precise meaning. It is about letting very diverse interpretations and feelings show through.

I like the idea that a link is created between the work and the person facing it, and even more so with their future holder.  

I activate the beginning of a story whose paths are infinite...
