Discover the contemporary work of Nathalie Perrin
My Plastic Art baccalaureate in hand, I spent 2 years at the Beaux-Arts in Reims in the 80s, a time when the teaching of art is very « conceptual ». I then branched off towards a script-editing school in Paris. Brussels, professions that I practiced for more than 30 years, in cinema and elsewhere. television. Without ever really letting go of my brushes and pastels, I followed numerous workshops and courses with pastel masters like Catherine Hutter, Nathalie Gioria, artists like Thomas Groslier, André Zetlaoui, Jean-Louis Liget, Martine Henoch, Alexandra Astorquiza, Nadine Vitel. Thanks to a retraining plan, in 2021 I benefited from a year of intensive training in an art school, the Terre et Feu workshops in Rouen, under the aegis of among others by Riège and Kim Chi Nguyen. It’s It was this occasion that I fell in love with engraving, the practice of which I deepened during an internship with the artist-engraver Charlotte Massip.
Loving faces and nature, whatever the medium used, my quest remains the same: opening the viewer's gaze to beauty of the ravages of time.
