I have been drawing, painting, sculpting since my early childhood, I have worked on in Jean-Pierre Thoniel's workshop when I was 12 years old, I learned the different techniques there, I then, after the baccalaureate, made 2 years of art studies in a private sacred art school near Lyon, where I trained myself à some old techniques. I then undertook the study of philosophy, and I built my life around several parallel activities. I need this diversity. to fuel my inspiration: to live to have something to enjoy; express.
The eye metabolizes lines, light and color according to ineffable laws, whether the painting is abstract or figurative, it is the same forces, the same energy which make a canvas come alive. I have a preference for figurative painting, because I like the form, because the curves and rhythms of everyday life marvel me, it is not necessary to throw raw or violent colors to have the impression of externalizing one's feelings, the truth of our emotions is often in subtle nuances, in quarter tones, it just has to be alive and aligned; each painting puts me at risk, I know when I leave, not when I arrive, I don't like making outlines and coloring, I like when the form emerges from the abstract crisscrossing of the dough, of a clumsy gesture, of a superposition of colors, of an accident, and I worry about finding the right vibration, the one that will give from depth to depth my canvas, it is never what I have planned which makes the canvas something that pleases me, but always a journey where I feel lost, an adventure...
