Discover the contemporary work of NIPA
Visual artist, painter and performer of Argentinian origin, living in France.
My university studies in Visual Arts with a focus on scenography in Buenos Aires and my studies at the École des Beaux-Arts in Nantes allowed me to develop a multidisciplinary artistic practice focused on performance, where interaction with the public and emotion are essential.
I am passionate about the idea that art can be a tool for personal transformation and human connection, as well as illustration and drawing. I also teach bilingual visual arts classes.
My current series of paintings "Portraits in a pot" depicts half-plant, half-human figures in pots to explore our relationship with nature and ourselves.

"My art was born from a combination of different techniques and mediums that I developed over time. My first love was mural painting, but I discovered that I could apply this technique to other surfaces, such as the human body. This led me to explore artistic makeup, which became a new passion for me. By exploring these two techniques, I realized that I could combine them into unique artistic performances, which allowed me to convey deeper messages and emotions. During this time, I also continued to draw small illustrations to express my thoughts and ideas. So, every art form I create is born from an inspiration that came from another, and every technique I use is a way for me to explore new worlds."
NIPA's artistic approach is an exciting journey through themes such as transformation, memory, identity and intimacy. Performance is a key element of her artistic work, offering great freedom of expression and an opportunity to communicate with the audience. The artist's passion for performance was born from her connection with improvisation and dialogue with others experienced through makeup and mural painting, as well as the possibility of transformation. These experiences have allowed the artist to develop great manual dexterity, a constantly renewed creativity and a taste for improvisation in her performances. She often highlights the notions of vulnerability and trust, creating spaces where spectators and performers can connect in an authentic and profound way. Illustration and drawing are important aspects that carry an interest in capturing details and fleeting moments. His current series of paintings, titled "Poted Portraits", explores the complex relationship between humans and nature by merging human and plant forms. Daïana Sena's intention is to reflect on through her work on nature that can also reveal the intrinsic characteristics of a person or thing. The phrase "it is in its nature to..." shows that nature is not only an element of the physical environment, but also an element of our inner being.
