Discover the contemporary work of Lemanoé
A painter from Nantes, trained at the School of Fine Arts, I work with color and matter simultaneously in a spontaneous, instinctive and expressive way. The choice of subject is made according to a theme, a story, a current event or simply an emotion. Through the abstract style, I hide, I scratch, I discover, I reveal, I mask and I let appear, I highlight. The abstract allows everyone to project themselves and see something different and that's what I'm looking for: to sharpen the sense of observation and the subjectivity of each person. Each painting is a challenge to this even if the title can give a clue about the subject I wanted to deal with. Enter my painting, discover a new universe and keep your eyes open!

My painting is intended to be abstract or semi-abstract in style because I do not want to lock the viewer in a closed universe without surprises. On the contrary, I seek to deconstruct reality and play on a color that we do not expect at all to confuse the tracks, evacuate reality and leave room for the imagination and emotion. Influenced by artists such as Claude Monet (impressionist), William Turner (Romanticism) and abstract painters such as Nicolas De Staël, Mark Rothko or Clyfford Still, I use different techniques that I mix together. I use acrylic paint, oil paint, oil, natural pigments, collage, spray paint, paste and dry or oily pastels.
