I love exploring new techniques and materials to bring life to life. my ideas, after earth, wood, cardboard, paper, paint, thread, fabric in all its forms (from costume to scenography), today it is the wool…
My goal is to surprise, amaze and awaken the senses of spectators to new heights. through my achievements.
Wool is today my favorite medium, it is our ally, it protects us from the cold and the heat. It is animal but mowing necessary, recovered when it is lost, at a later date. default purchased from local producers, use it locally twisted endings appeal to me.
Wool is soft when it is carded, rough when it is raw, its color, even when dyed, remains shimmering, it is also tenderly fragrant, in sculpture it appeals by its side of the subject. unusual which invites contact.
My technique is that of felting. the needle: the wool is stitched at the right angle. many times with a needle. felt. The latter being equipped with small barbs, it entangles the wool fibers and tightens them. The mass then densifies and takes the desired shape.
My sculptures do not contain any internal structure, I start from the cloud of wool to give them shape. They are sometimes integrated into recycled materials (dishes, decorative objects , plants), these recyclings give me the opportunity to bring life back to life. old stuff.
My artistic approach is political as well as aesthetic, but humor also has a special place.
My sculptures are figurative, they speak of the world, of our world with its innate nature. and its achievements, its social constructions and their absurdities, its impulses of humanity and barbarism, its evolution and its inconstancy.
I like to introduce eccentricities into my sculptures that question political correctness. Humans are always at the center of my achievements.
The eyes, omnipresent, are like a guarantee of lucidity.
Creating is for me a breath of fresh air, an essential implementation of my life experiences. all levels to express my emotions, share them, prolong them. An unquenchable thirst to say what makes Humanity; for me, denouncing dominations as if making them tangible opened up avenues for me to better combat them. I aspire to so that my audience is challenged; by these subjects whose seriousness Marries lightness wool.
