Discover the contemporary work of PANIK KID
Max LABARRE, known as Panik Kid, is a polymorphic artist whose creative journey, shaped by Paris and New York, transcends disciplines. First a dancer and actor, he collaborated with the Paris Opera before reinventing himself in music with the rap metal group Cloud Core, then solo as a rapper/performer.
In 2019, painting became his new field of experimentation. He then boldly mixed various techniques and media, creating works where abstraction, pop culture and urban influences meet. Panik Kid embodies a relentless search for freedom artistic, offering vibrant pieces, carrying his raw energy and his unique vision of the world. Each creation is a visual exploration, a tribute to his personal quest and to the era that inspires him.
My artistic approach is born from a primal need: to create. Inspired by the energy of big cities, urban culture, music, and the stories of those around me, I seek to capture the intensity of our shared humanity.
My process is simple and spontaneous: I find a medium, no matter what, and I let myself be carried away by the moment. I start with what I have on hand, often found or leftover materials, and I immerse myself in the music to guide my gestures.
À Through my works, I explore recurring themes: human unity, the strength of inner energy, and the brutality of life. I am also interested in mental illness, a subject that deeply affects me. My goal is to open a space for reflection and gathering around art, to show that we are all connected beyond differences.
Art, for me, is a necessity. My practice is the fruit of my multiple experiences – dance, theater, music – but above all, it is a need for expression and sharing.
