Discover the contemporary work of Parenty Amandine
Without artistic bangage, I left my scientific training and joined the Dunkirk Higher School of Art by competitive examination. After five years spent discovering, studying and practicing in the artistic environment, I obtained my master's degree in plastic creation. Since then, I have returned to live in my hometown, Boulogne-sur-Mer, where I exist as a painter.
We drift through advertising screens, headlines and garish colours. These things overwhelm us as individuals but give artists food for thought.
As such, I try to capture a moment, an emotion, a sincere reflection of the world, by scrutinising its smallest corners, where reality lies beneath the surface. À Through my works, I strive to reveal what binds us, what defines us and what often escapes us: our humanity.
The human, with its contradictions, interactions, individuality and capacity to unite in a community, is at the heart of my research. Society, with its norms and labels, weaves a complex web in which I strive to navigate, while exploring the invisible bonds that unite each of us. through this weaving, my creations become mirrors, sometimes disturbing or soothing but always authentic.
In my painting, the human figure is in perpetual repetition, a motif that seeks to capture the uniqueness of each individual, while making it universal. The figurative style, without ever being fixed, becomes a playground where reality confronts the imaginary, where each line and each color seek to go beyond of what is visible.
My art is a reflection of my time, but also of my personal influences and emotions. It is a subtle mix of memories, visions and feelings that, as I travel and meet people, are transformed into work. The influence of artists' biographies, cultural places visited and everyday events nourishes this incessant creation, where art becomes an act of testimony. As an artist, I see myself as a bridge between generations, a witness to the struggle between yesterday and the unknown of tomorrow.
I am inhabited by a creative energy that finds a form of expression at each significant event. A scene from life, a raw emotion, everything can become a canvas, a drawing, a work. through this creation, I act, I react to the world around me. Each work is a collision with reality, an awareness, an impulse, sometimes spontaneous, which gives birth to shapes and colors that translate what words cannot say.
Art for me is not a distinction between what I am and what I do. They are intertwined, linked in a never-ending cycle of observation, analysis and creation. My life is my work, my work is my life. Each creation is an imprint of this constant process: an act of reflection, emotion and reinvention.
