Over 40 years of artistic work.

In North America, the doors of Native American galleries and museums have opened to me, and I have exhibited in Quebec, Alberta, and British Columbia (Canada), as well as in New Hampshire and Maine (United States).

As a visual artist, with training in decorative painting and faux finishes in France, as well as a Bachelor of Visual Arts degree in Quebec, I have led visual arts workshops: painting, modeling, faux finishes, and taught in French-language elementary school.

I also participated in various creative writing workshops, and several of my short stories were published in collections edited by associations (texts in French). An enriching experience allowed me to be published in English by Polar Expressions Publishing in British Columbia, with a poem appearing in the 2012 collection Harvest.

Since then, I have self-published my artist's book from the early 2000s, a painting method designed at the request of my students – first in English, then in Canadian French, and finally in French from France. Back in France in 2014, I continued to share my experience by writing a travel journal, taking the reader in my footsteps through Western Canada. More recently, in 2024, I adapted a Native American tale for a young French audience, a book that I wrote, illustrated, and self-published.

Artistic approach

My creative drive is based on three essential elements: aesthetics, infinity, and the atmosphere generated by color. Each work is born from a dominant hue that guides my inspiration, as evidenced by my blue and pink periods – a chromatic evolution that amusingly recalls that of an artist from whom I am nevertheless very distant.

Without knowing them or being influenced by them, my works have been My peers in Canada have compared my work to that of Emily Carr and Georgia O'Keeffe. When I paint, I immerse myself completely in my work, seeking to infuse it with a specific energy. For example, if I depict an eagle against a green background evoking the landscapes of the Canadian Northwest, I try to imbue it with the power of the forest. My Native American friends sometimes refer to it as shamanic painting.

I like my works to be perceived first for their aesthetics and poetry. Then, upon second glance, the viewer may feel – or not – the energy of the animal, the spirit, and nature. Finally, a third reading can emerge, revealing my deep commitment to nature, my respect for wildlife and water, as well as the ecological awareness that permeates my work.

On the literary side, my short stories are surreal, poetic, and colorful, a dimension that echoes my visual universe, influenced by Dali and Magritte. As for my poetry, it draws on my experiences and expresses passion in all its forms.
