Paul-Marie Lantoine, a plastic artist on cardboard, you had to dare! What cardboard? The one for shoe boxes, very white, very smooth, well formatted, or the one for household appliance packaging with its large grooves? All cardboard, we tell you: the smooth ones, the modulated ones, the opaque ones, the diaphanous ones … All cardboard! With color on it of course, not too much at first to show that there is material underneath and that you had to dare to throw paint on surfaces that will never have the nobility of burlap and even less of silk.
