Ceramic sculptor since 2021 based in Plascassier (Alpes-Maritimes) where I have my modeling workshop and my kiln: production of unique pieces in stoneware or chamotte earthenware, sometimes glazed. Professional since January 2025, pieces sold individually with certificate of authenticity.
Most of his sculptures are "rooted" on a base, a support, a solid foundation, then claiming lightness through a search for weightlessness and surges, mimicking his appetite for spirituality, which everyone attains as they age...
The creative process often involves a rough drawing on a sheet of paper. This is where the creation will begin, with the leitmotif of the search for beauty. and harmony, the power of the structure, always with the challenge of complexity...
"My sculptures are born as much from uncertainties, trial and error, additions, and accidents along the way as from decisions, what we call serendipity..."
The practice of glazing comes next, the matching of colors having the ultimate goal of finding a decorative function, "a living force," transcending the aesthetic aspect of the sculptures by having a profound impact on our emotions and our perceptions.
"Stoneware is a "living" material during the creative process, changing from soft to leathery before finally hardening... each phase of this evolution allows me to adapt my gesture and practice with various tools. It is thus the vehicle that allows me to express my thoughts and emotions."
