Born in 1975, an engineer by training, Philippe de Vanilly lives in France in the countryside surrounding Paris. He has been passionate about digital painting since 2000.

The path he has chosen favors the static image, focuses on shapes and colors, on what has always been the essence of painting. Abstraction is his favorite field. His work oscillates between geometric perfection and organic chaos. Sometimes words and calligraphy find a place there. At other times, he takes a step towards the figurative, particularly the portrait. In all cases, he seeks to give texture to the virtual, to make the improbable tangible, as if his intention opened new breaches between chance and necessity. The objective, however, remains very classic: to excite the imagination and arouse emotion.
