Discover the contemporary work of Poppy Black 27
Born in 1965.
Self-taught.
Influenced by Flemish painters.
Acrylic painting, most often in black and white on MDF panels.
Mainly portraits but also perspectives.
Inspiration: I choose characters who have "faces", I also like shifts and provocation in my image.
I have done about ten local exhibitions without interest so I expose myself on the internet where the results are much more satisfying in terms of encounters, understanding, and the fact that if someone likes what I do it pushes me to continue.
No special approach.
Painting is an outlet to evacuate a shitty past.
I only paint when it's dark.
