Discover the contemporary work of Corinne QUIBEL
Born on April 8, 1952 in Dieppe (Seine Maritime) in France.
I'm starting to paint with at the age of 11 with a remarkable French landscaper: François Verdier, then it was the Met workshop in Penninghen, the Julian plastic art center and Beaux-Arts de Paris. Painting is my reason for living... a real need. From still life to landscapes that invite you to rest, including unusual glimpses of everyday life. Always in mind, this thought of TAO "Obey what you want. nature, nature, will obey you, you will be able to draw from it without fear of exhaustion. I paint modestly and lovingly in front of the spectacles of nature and "à low" originality to catch the eye! The paintings on display are mainly oils and pastels. oil, techniques that I appreciate for their palpable, almost carnal dimension. The landscapes testify to a desire to to show nature in movement; blues and greens abound in all shades and denote the freshness of impression, the contact of which I appreciate. "It takes ten years to achieve overnight success" according to DESPROGES.
My exhibitions are therefore only the emerging part of this always-restarted but so thrilling quest: to look, to feel, to work, to erase, to start again, to get excited, to get discouraged, working always and again, to reach this mirage of the depths of things and try to say the unspeakable....
