Visual artist painter, based in Amélie-Les-Bains. She has participated in several collective and individual exhibitions, national and international since 1991. Her personality is felt through the pictorial symphony whose shapes, colors, lights are the artisans of a music that enchants. She is attentive to light, to matter, to the pure painting that she transforms and to the result of the mixture of dyes.

In the space of her work, she confronts the material and draws from this non-traditional material its power of suggestion or disruption, an image, an impression, a sensation, a concept to give them to see, she creates this intermediary object between her and the public, which is the work: she embodies, she gives flesh. The games of matter (gathered, projected, scraped, poured, impregnated) are given to see as the subject of the painting.

The artist experiments with all the possibilities of the materials she encounters, thus seeking to explore the very limits of the work of art. She puts to the test both the materials-supports of the work: wood, canvas; metal, plexiglass... It is the unfolding of her confrontation with the material that interests her; operation resulting in highlighting textures and creating a new plastic space.

The contrast between smooth matter and thicker, granular substances, inserted into spaces defined in an imprecise but apparent way, gives Rachel Aicha Dkouir's work an aspect of "non finito" on which she seems to be able to intervene constantly, retouch, remodel, add, etc. Painting for her is above all looking at length, to finally see.

It is cleaning one's eyes to allow the emergence of surprise in the face of each moment. Her painting is the result of a thought that animates her soul as a visual artist. She does not seek through it to decorate the gaze of others, but rather to invite them to animate their souls through her gaze.
