Discover the contemporary work of rachel mathieu

I am an artist/designer located in Grenoble (38). I've been redrawing for 3 years. I had stopped with studies and not finding my style. This year I gained enough confidence to launch myself professionally.

Apart from my activity; artistic, I work in catering. This job requires a lot of time and energy, but I try to take advantage of every free moment to create. I have a lot of ideas in my head and I hope to one day be able to bring them all to life.

My world?

Surrealism! I am a big fan of the works of Magritt and Dali, even if my style is far from them...

Also, I am inspired by pop surrealism.

In the end, my main universe is reminiscent of dark surrealism but with a touch of glamour.

I mainly practice drawing with a fine felt pen to which I mix other techniques such as pouring, pastel or collage.

My favorite subject revolves around the link that can exist between life and death. Death in explicit or implicit form.
