I am a technical architect/surveyor by profession and an artist by vocation.
After having worked as a quantity surveyor for more than 20 years both in Spain and abroad, once back in Spain, I have decided to listen to my inner child and continue with my vocation as an artist.
I was born in Turkey, in times of abundance of natural products.
I grew up in a society where sensitivity to the environment reigned and with a general awareness of savings. So I have known the words of repair, reuse since I was very little... it is not because of poverty but because of the culture of responsible consumption of those times. Well, those concepts that have fueled my curiosity, over time, have revealed my abilities and triggered my creativity.
I remember that, years ago, in my dried flower creations, it was nature that offered me the raw material, but now that we have an urgent call from nature, I feel indebted to her.
For this reason I have joined this human activity with my role as ARTIST of “UPRARECYCLAJE/ UPCYCLING” as a mediator and communication engine to transmit the beauty of nature and encourage its preservation. Make people reflect on the urgent need, not only to recycle plastics, but to stop the circulation of plastic from the source. And to achieve my goal I use all my resources in talks, exhibitions, contests, workshops and waste collection outings.
My latest works have been selected to exhibit at Sitges Reciclart'23, Drap-Art'21 and Drap-Art'22 International Sustainable Art Festival.
I have held several exhibitions and workshops in the Ripollès region, where I live, and in the Artamoresitges gallery between 2021-2023.
In 2023 I have also been selected by MERCARTE COMUNICACIÓN Y ARTE, S.A. to make a sculpture for the 50th anniversary of the HERSILL company
In the month of March 2024 my work " Waves of change" has been selected as a finalist by the XV. Transformarte/Rioja Competition
In the month of April 2024 my work " "The Scream" has been selected as a finalist for the I. L'Art de les paraules/Valencia competition
My environmental awareness, in the light of my humanist philosophy, illuminates my artistic creativity to reinforce the link between ethics, morality and the environment.
That's why; The objective of my art is to stir the bowels of man's consciousness through my designs. and try to be a loudspeaker to communicate the planet's cry for help
My art tries to create harmony and energy from plastic waste to transmit the hope of discovering oneself in nature with the purpose of environmental awareness. I intend to guide the person towards You will discover your inner self through my creations so that you can see your own SELF who is really responsible for your ecological and sustainable actions.
And for that reason the objective of my work is to create an emotional reaction in the viewer linked to the contradiction between the initial attraction and the subsequent message of consciousness. Make people reflect on the urgent need, not only to recycle plastics, but to stop the circulation of plastic from the source.
