Raül Llopis i Palmer is an artist from Alcoy born in 1980. His origins in the world of artistic creation are linked to photography and design. Later he explores video installations and sculptural installations, exhibiting two proposals on two occasions and participating in various group exhibitions.His current technique or artistic discipline is collage. em>

He feels, lives and breathes this jewel of being and belonging to his land, Alcoy, of defending its tradition and its culture. For this reason the works he presents are configured with different types of papers and cardboard, alluding to the paper industrial past, where through the materials it takes us into the concept of a return to our essence as a people, the beginning, and a cultural rebirth through art .

Using finely crafted recycled paper and cardboard cuts, it hints at this need to look back and make us participate in its history, the history of Alcoy.

The work carried out by the author is influenced by the constructivist tendencies of De Stijl, following its aesthetic parameters and developing it through the technique of the collage. A series of constructions is presented that show the concepts of the city's history and its economy, synthesized in harmonious lines and restricted tones. You can see within these elegant compositions how the confluence between concept and object occurs through the configuration and conjunction of the lines connected with the treatment of the material and the chromaticisms. /em>

Thus, paying attention to the tones used takes us into the nuances of our land and ourindustry, where it is combined  rationalist construction, urban mapping and the forms of nature. If we look closely we can see the gradations of gray that reflect the different buildings. /em>factories that are always notable for their brick chimneys. It tells us about the same factories that once made paper and that brought it to prosperity in our city, without forgetting the contribution of the sacrificed lives of workers and city workers.
