Discover the contemporary work of Rose Pialat
My name is Rose Pialat and it was in a neighborhood workshop that my artistic practice began, very early in my childhood. I was lucky enough to be able, at a very young age, to explore a wide variety of techniques and mediums, gradually perfecting my drawing skills.
On the academic level, I trained at the Beaux-Arts de Saint-Étienne and at the Ateliers de Sèvres in Paris.
I have been working professionally since 2015, exhibiting my work in galleries, group exhibitions in Paris and other cities in France, at
festivals and cultural events.
This multiplicity of projects in which I have participated for almost 10 years allows me to collaborate with different profiles, to share my artistic vision with a varied audience, and finally to obtain frequent feedback from different horizons on my practice.
My practice, essentially figurative painting, has long drawn its inspiration from the fascinating world of cabinets of curiosities: this concept, which combines science, art and history, has allowed me to explore the boundaries between the beautiful and the intriguing. The use of
raw organic supports such as insects, wood, leaves and other natural elements, has invited me to questioning myself about what makes beauty.
Since a devastating cancer in 2023, I have taken an unexpected turn in my artistic approach, transforming my work into a real personal journey, anchored in my family roots and my history.
