Discover the contemporary work of Roubaut jonathan

For me, drawing has always been the simplest means of expression. It is a language that transcends linguistic barriers (draw a bird and show it to anyone, they will know what you are referring to). At a very young age, it appeared to me that I had a strong attraction to this “language”, on the one hand thanks to my grandfather and to my mother, and on the other, it had become for me the means of dissipating her immense balls of unmanageable emotions other than by imprisoning them on paper.  ;

This marked the beginning of 25 years of self-taught work, inspired by at first glance by the emotions of my experiences and by the social gap that creates my perception of others and the world. Small little, once the basics were acquired I opened myself up to; other forms of art such as sculpture and for several years, painting.

I don't have a favorite artistic movement but I draw from it what speaks to me in order to add other "words" à my "language", other colors to choose from my emotions, other points of view to yours.

Comparable to; all living things, my artistic approach is evolving. At the beginning there is his birth and in the end there will be his death. Over time it will pass through different trends and different styles to mark each stage of its maturity. making us an intimate spectator of his journey.

The "Amazement" is the first stage. Mixing naive current and bright colors, it is the first glance at a viewer. about the world around him.
