Discover the contemporary work of S4m

Sam Guillemot, known as S4m, is a self-taught artist based in the Paris region. A professional cinematographer, he works mainly in the television sector. Originally from Alsace, he grew up in an artistic environment, influenced by his maternal grandfather, an amateur painter and sculptor, and by an education that gave him a sensitivity for painting and music.

From his childhood, his passion for comics led him to copying characters and boards, before teaching himself different techniques such as Indian ink, wash, graphite and watercolor, with a marked predilection for black and white. The discovery of street art, which occurred later in his life, was a real revelation, encouraging him to continue his artistic path alongside his career.

In his creations, although his subjects are varied, he often explores themes related to the degradation of the planet, the exhaustion of resources and the wear and tear of time. His works demonstrate in-depth work on light, an aspect closely linked to his training as a cinematographer, while also providing a critical and committed reflection on current issues.
