Discover the contemporary work of Sabine Simböck
As a child I discovered the power of Images. Originally I wanted to study art education. Now I am glad that I chose languages and worked in that field. This way I was able to develop my own techniques and personal style, which I call 'Surreal Objectivity', free from academic requirements and economic constraints. Many of my works can be seen on my website: https://sabinesimboeck.wixsite.com/sabinesimboeck/galerie-gallery
Experiences, thoughts and feelings are the sources of my picture ideas, which I like to put on paper using surrealistic means. I prefer to draw representational objects without the result being a still life. In most of my graphics I depict the more or less abstract object, but I deliberately do without an explanatory environment, instead leaving the mostly white paper as the only background. A characteristic of my style is the restriction to a maximum of six to eight colors. Preferred techniques are pencil and colored pencil drawings, pastel and oil crayons.
I find it particularly exciting when viewers discover other things in the pictures.
