Jean-Baptiste CUGERONE was born; in 1980 in Annecy.
His childhood is punctuated by sport, then it is the dream of Icarus which imposes itself on him. him: after a first free fall at 18 years old, he tries his hand at all kinds of aerial activities which bring it closer to the flight of birds.
Freedom, lightness, he likes to see the world from above.
Professionally, Jean-Baptiste is a « "manual": after many years spent at home. traveling around France as a rope technician (the work “seen from above”), he stopped in 2014 in the Hautes-Pyrénées where he worked. he founded his home and learned artistic ironwork.
It is in this activity that that he perfects his gesture, the grinder, up to so that the machine becomes an extension of its arm.
At the same time, his relationship with nature and living things grows.
During walks, he gleans his first driftwood: a perfect combination of the beauty of nature. creator of « Mother Nature » and the erosion of time.
Self-taught, his grinder becomes the paintbrush of his soul.
The shape of the wood, stones and other sheets, their lines, their curves are similar to the flight paths that it will follow. Expressions of the passing of time, the repetitions of motifs are the caresses, the burning, the poetic incisions of his emotions... muzzled for too long.
It is his view of the world that is engraved, like a dance, with matter.
