Far from the usual naturalistic representations of cats, Sébastien OGER particularly attempts to translate their spirit, a poetic atmosphere emanates from his paintings. The cat is mostly seen as a silhouette, sometimes split, sometimes whole. His art, endowed with great sobriety, may at first glance seem simple and minimal. But when the eye of the art lover approaches the work, one discovers an elaborate style with a most complex pictorial technique. Sébastien OGER's paintings have numerous interpretations and are teeming with detail. The artist reveals his feelings, sensibility and imagination with each small stroke. Today, Sébastien OGER is an acknowledged artist thanks to his prizes and awards, among which the European Academy of Art-France.
