Discover the contemporary work of Simon Odermatt

I grew up in Switzerland and live there.
I work as a computer scientist.

Artistically, there is not much to write about. I started drawing in 2023.
Doing instead of thinking.
In one year, I created over 300 drawings.

I draw with colored pencils, they are always with me, and can be used anywhere on the train, in a café by the lake.

The line pictures have no names, they are created completely intuitively and without planning.
I give them numbers; these represent the number of days since my birth until the line found its way onto the paper.

It all starts with choosing the line color. Then I close my eyes and let the line emerge in a flow.
Then the picture builds up without following a plan, when the drawing area is completely filled, the picture is sealed and given my tag.
