The serenity of an artist’s workshop, the slow maturation of the imagination, the virgin canvas, the magical combination of colours matter and suddenly the birth of a form. Now begins the need for acceleration, a certain fever, an uncertainty and at this moment the seed of hope concerning the evolution and metamorphosis of the canvas is planted. Nothing can interfere with my quest, not even the fear of the final result, happiness or disappointment whatever, painting is alone in a world of no limits, a victory over life. Completely autodidact, I have developed a particular appreciation of working with a knife and oils. I am unassuming and I have no claim to belonging to this or that movement, my only ambition is to be happy while making other people happy. Taka
