Thierry BUISSON, born in Lyon on June 19, 1959, self-taught.

I have always drawn. I started with the BandeDessinée, notably thanks to a small group of enthusiasts, by participating in the first Grenoble Comic Strip Festival in 1984.

After making music for several years with a rock band (meeting Bashung and Téléphone), the need to create was felt and became vital.

Ink, pastel, acrylic, gouache, canvas and paper became the essential elements of my artistic technique.

As for the artists who inspired me, I was very much marked by Picasso, Miro, Zao Wou Ki and Miro.

MY ARTISTIC APPROACH

My work is based on my strong creative imagination and it is chance and rhythm that will give life to the “artistic work”. My painting remains, at the same time, instinctive, minimalist and rhythmic.

There is no preparatory work (sketches or visualization), but only my feelings. It is this "abstract" painting, which will open the mind of your own imagination.

I like to compare myself to a "fashion designer", working regularly on "collections".

My strong creativity leads me, very often (according to my moods or the present moment), to working on series of canvases or drawings.

My abstract works are the product of a “second state”, during which the subconscious is concretized, visually, on the canvas. The work of Miro and Picasso, has very often accompanied me,

In my latest series “ Arlekin» , the use of acrylic, pouring and liquid watercolor, allow to obtain, with an instinctive gesture, drips of a 3D thickness, slightly shiny. The final result becomes a «  Harlequin «  see a “Rainbow”.

Black backgrounds will also reveal the colors.
