Toni Crespo was born in Palma, the city where he lives and works. From the beginning, his work has followed the path of informalism, preferably abstract expressionism. In his creative process, he experiments with different techniques and materials such as collage, sprays, graphics, textures, etc., frequently introducing calligraphy in different fonts into his work, with which he delves into the expressive power of words, texts, poems, numbers or letters, and not necessarily from a linguistic or syntactical point of view but, more importantly, for their iconographic and symbolic power as tools of plastic expression.
